Rebecca “Becky” joined Dr. Gupta’s team in 2016 as his Clinical Nurse Coordinator. She brings with her 16 years of nursing experience. Becky is involved with patients from their first office visit through surgery preparations, hospital stay and discharge, and beyond.
Becky works closely with Dr. Gupta to help educate his patients who are considering surgery or have scheduled surgery. This includes information on their specific surgeries, and what to expect before, during, and after surgery. She makes sure all questions and concerns are addressed, speaking with patients as often as necessary to make them as comfortable as possible. In addition to teaching and answering questions, Becky also helps schedule testing to ensure the patients are optimally prepared for surgery. During their hospital stay, Becky keeps in contact with patients and their families to make sure their needs are being met. Post-operatively, Becky continues her care of Dr. Gupta’s patients by scheduling follow up appointments and testing. She provides the necessary information to help the patient adjust to life at home after surgery.
Preparing for spine surgery can be very overwhelming. With kindness and compassion, Becky helps patients through this stressful time to make it as positive an experience as possible. Patients can be confident Becky will be there to help them throughout their entire surgical experience and onto the road to recovery.
