56-year-old female with adult idiopathic scoliosis.
Patient had a thoracic and a lumbar curve.
The spine had developed degeneration over the years and had become very painful.
The pain was not responding to any non-operative measures, so the patient elected to have surgery.
Patient had a posterior spinal fusion from T4 to the pelvis.
The scoliosis in the thoracic and lumbar spine was corrected well. One can see the restoration of the normal sagittal curve of the thoracic kyphosis, as well, as the lumbar lordosis on the lateral x-ray.
