Gupta, M.D. Skills osteotomy Category Adult, Osteotomy, Scoliosis Case Information This was a patient with Cerebral Palsy who had progressive severe scoliosis. Patient had cardiac disease which required a cardiac devise. He could not tolerate an anterior approach. He underwent multiple Ponte osteotomies via a posterior approach to release the spine and make it more flexible. The scoliosis was corrected using posterior instrumentation. The fusion was performed with local bone and allograft. Significant correction was obtained using a posterior approach as shown in the before and after radiographs. He also had a baclofen pump placed to help with spasticity in his lower extremities.
