Patient developed degeneration of the lumbar spine below the fusion. The degeneration caused a lot of back pain and leg pain. An anterior fusion was performed at multiple lumbar segments to ensure a fusion to the sacrum. Posterior fusion was performed with posterior instrumentation extending from the previous fusion to the ileum on the same day.
